Secure Web Browsing: Running your Web browser under the protection of Sandboxie means that all malicious software downloaded by the browser is trapped in the sandbox and can be discarded trivially.It also illustrates that grouping the changes together makes it easy to delete all of them at once. The animation illustrates that Sandboxie is able to intercept the changes and isolate them within a sandbox, depicted as a yellow rectangle. The red arrows indicate changes flowing from a running program into your computer. An isolated virtual environment allows controlled testing of untrusted programs and web surfing. It creates a sandbox-like isolated operating environment in which applications can be run or installed without permanently modifying the local or mapped drive. It is being developed by David Xanatos since it became open source, before that it was developed by Sophos (which acquired it from Invincea, which acquired it earlier from the original author Ronen Tzur). Sandboxie is a sandbox-based isolation software for 32- and 64-bit Windows NT-based operating systems.
